Saint Thomas Academy Middle School: A school within a school
Middle School marks an important transition in a young boy's character development and spiritual growth. At STA, special emphasis is placed on preparing young boys for high school learning, including building self-esteem and confidence, as well as improving communication, writing, listening and study skills. Saint Thomas Academy is committed to keeping Middle School classes small, allowing for personal instruction and developing a sense of camaraderie among the students. An advantage of the STA Middle School is that is a part of the high school - students are able to model themselves upon older counterparts, take part in Formations and, most importantly, they are held to the same academic standards as high school students.
The fee is $40 per book for the Kaydet yearbook. Seniors will receive the yearbook and personalization for free. The actual cost per book to the school is $60 so we are able to offer it to the students at a discounted rate.
You may order and pay for the yearbook online – click on the photo to the left – there is no shipping cost involved as the books will be delivered to school.
The deadline to order the Kaydet is December 1, 2010.
Friday, September 3, 3:15-4:30 p.m. at the DeSales Auditorium at Visitation
Here is where you learn about the many theatrical opportunities we have to offer and how you can get involved in the exciting process of learning the craft of theatre. You will hear from theatre council members and production team, tour the facilities and meet other VISTA students.
This is a great introduction to all things VISTA, however it is not mandatory to attend this meeting in order to become involved in theatre. We offer many options for involvement including technical theatre, stagecraft, scenic design, costume construction and design, scenic painting, comedy improvisation, stage management, acting, singing, dancing, choreography, box office and marketing. We hope you will consider joining our VISTA team and creating memorable theatrical productions. If you have questions you may contact Wendy Short-Hays in the VISTA office (651-683-1750), located in the Fine Arts Center lobby.
