The Mission of Saint Thomas Academy

Our mission is to help young men build a solid foundation of responsible leadership within themselves, the Academy, the Catholic Church, and the community. Founded in 1885 by Archbishop John Ireland, the Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory, military/leadership school for young men in grades 7-12. The school's tradition, discipline, and spirit influence the life of a young man long after graduation.

The mission of Saint Thomas Academy is accomplished by:
• developing the intellectual, spiritual, moral and physical potential
of each young man.
• fostering the knowledge and practice of leadership so that a young man
has confidence in being a leader and in choosing which leader to follow.

By developing and nurturing each whole person and preparing students to be leaders with high ideals, Saint Thomas Academy graduates are young men prepared to succeed in college and in life.
